It’s A Start

A regular emailer who takes the Chris Berman nickname angle in following Dartmouth recruiting (think: Andre "Bad Moon" Rison) shared this pithy comment after names finally came out of the Dartmouth football program regarding the class that will be on campus in less than a month:
"Not much but making progress"

That was his response to this graphic out of Dartmouth:

The tiny print below The Woods lists names in the incoming class. I’d like to think this was just a teaser for what’s to come. (Click the graphic to see the original.)

Green Alert Take: One player on the list posted on BGA several times is not on the graphic above, and there’s another I might have missed. Stay tuned for clarifications on those two.

Regular visitors to this page should know I’m circumspect about posting troubling news out of the program, but when it shows up in The Dartmouth it can’t be ignored. The D has a piece about hazing involving former players Q Jones and Milan Williams HERE.

EXTRA POINT

The weather was straight from the Chamber of Commerce last night as Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee presented a free concert by the band, Trampled By Turtles. In brief marks before introducing the headliners, we heard that the crowd was already approaching 6,000-8,000 at that point, and traffic was backed up getting off the usually pretty empty interstate.

Heres a video someone just posted from the concert this morning:

And here’s a panorama I took as the crowd started to fill in:

It was quite a night in the Upper Valley. For those who might be interested, next Thursday’s free concert on the Lake Morey Resort golf course features The Elovaters, whose ensuing eight concerts starting a week later in Nantucket are all sold out.
