Here's your Week 2 wrap:
Harvard 41, Brown 7
The Crimson’s Dorsey Benefield had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown eight seconds into the game and Harvard never looked back in a runaway win before 16,283 in Cambridge. The Crimson finished the day with three interceptions, outgained the visitors through the air, 317 yards to 99, and held the Bears to 58 yards on the ground. Jaden Craig completed 24-of-31 passes with four touchdowns for Harvard and added a 59-yard punt for good measure. Harvard improved to 2-0 while Brown, which shut out Georgetown in its opener, is 1-1.
Yale 41, Cornell 24
Five turnovers – including a 65-yard pick six by Abu Kamara in the final minute – doomed the Big Red. The game was tied at the half, 14-14, and Yale was clinging to a 27-24 lead before Josh Pitsenberger gave the Bulldogs a little breathing room on a four-yard TD run with 1:56 remaining in the game. Kamara’s interception return then sealed the win with 47 seconds left. Yale improved to 2-0 before 4,467 in the Bowl while Cornell fell to 0-2.
Princeton 38, Lafayette 28
Joining the pick-six party was Princeton’s Torian Roberts, whose 38-yard return of an errant throw helped the Tigers jump out to a 28-7 lead at the break. Princeton quarterbacks Kai Colón and Blaine Hipa were a combined 21-of-32 for 205 yards through the air with Colón going 13-of-20 for 121 yards and one touchdown and Hipa running for a score and going 8-of-12 for 84 yards passing. Princeton is now 1-1 while Lafayette fell to 3-2 before a home crowd of 7,127.
Columbia 19, Georgetown 10
The Lions picked off three passes and held Georgetown to 67 yards through the air while improving to 1-1 in the Lou Little game. Chase Goodwin was just 11-for-24 yards with an interception for Columbia but passed for one touchdown and ran for another as the Lions jumped out to a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter. Hugo Merry added two short field goals for Columbia. Georgetown is now 2-3. A crowd of 3,909 looked on at Wien Stadium.
Lehigh 44, Penn 30
The one-two punch of Jared Richardson and Bisi Owens both went over 100 receiving yards as Penn quarterback Liam O’Brien passed for 316 yards, but it wasn’t enough against No. 9 Lehigh. Richardson had 141 yards and two TDs on 12 grabs while Owens had 101 yards and a touchdown on 10 catches. Penn fell to 1-1 with Lehigh getting to 5-0 on the strength of a ground game that piled up 305 yards. A crowd of 8,435 looked on in Bethlehem.
Fordham 26, Holy Cross 21
After the teams combined for 41 points in the first half they managed just six in the second, with Fordham kicker Bennett Henderson's 36-yard field goal in the third quarter and 35-yarder in the fourth erasing a 21-20 Holy Cross halftime lead. Fordham is 1-4 while Holy Cross is an uncharacteristic 0-5. The game drew 2,039 to the Bronx.
New Hampshire 24, Albany 6
UNH improved to 3-2 with a win over Albany in a game that was relatively even everywhere but on the scoreboard. The Great Danes (1-4) had a 19-17 advantage in first downs and the Wildcat had a modest advantage in total offense (308 yards to 275). Providing the difference for UNH was quarterback Matt Vezza, who went 19-for-24 for 190 yards and one touchdown while running three yards for another. The game drew 5,691 in Durham.

EXTRA POINT
I dragged Mrs. BGA to the football game all the way down in Connecticut yesterday and she's dragging me to a play today. I jest, because that last part is absolutely not true. I'm looking forward heading down to White River Junction for the Northern Stage production of Come From Away. If you don't know the story, here's how the theater's web page describes it (LINK):
When the world stood still, a small town stepped up. Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of 38 planes unexpectedly grounded in Gander, Newfoundland on September 11, 2001. What begins as an overwhelming crisis quickly transforms into an extraordinary moment of human connection as the townspeople and passengers form lasting bonds. With humor, heart, and a soaring score, this critically acclaimed musical is a moving, uplifting reminder of how, even in the darkest times, we can find light in each other.
