Last night:
Harvard 34, Cornell 10
After overpowering its first three opponents, the Crimson (4-0, 2-0) struggled to put away winless Cornell (0-4, 0-2) until scoring 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Harvard held the Big Red to 193 yards of total offense but led just 17-10 early in the final period and the Big Red seemed in position to tie the game only to see a potential scoop-and-score nullified on a loudly debated call by the officials. Jaden Craig completed 21-of-37 throws for 237 yards and one touchdown and the Crimson benefited from two defensive touchdowns. The game drew 6,644 to Harvard Stadium.
Penn 28, Marist 9
Wide receiver Jared Richardson caught 15 passed for 190 yards and two touchdowns tp pace the Quakers (3-1, 1-0). Liam O’Brien threw for 335 yards to help Penn finish with 453 yards to 250 yards for Marist (3-3, 1-1). The game dew just 1,164 to Franklin Field, which has a listed capacity of 52,593.
Brown 29, Bryant 19
Trailing 12-0 at the break, Brown (3-1, 0-1) scored all 29 points in the second half to down Bryant (2-5,0-3) in front of 1,800 in Smithfield, R.I. James Murphy threw for 347 yards and on touchdown for the Bears while Matt Childs ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Brown’s 3-1 start is the school’s best since 2013.

EXTRA POINT
The Great Ladybug Infestation of 2025 has slowed to a trickle. Virtually all of the uninvited guests prefer our bedroom, where three large windows and three smaller windows bring in light that we – and the ladybugs – really like. Making sure the windows are fully closed, and locking them to tighten the seal, has helped. So has my good friend Mr. Dyson, who has taken up temporary residence in the bedroom and is doing a terrific job of removing latecomers to the party.
