Trey Bien (That's A Play On Words, Folks)

With the December Signing Day behind us, we are closing in on the February signing day (note lower case). Between the two "official" signing days Dartmouth has added a new name:

Trey McFadden is a 6-3, 190-pound defensive back from Montgomery, N.J., who had five interceptions last fall and caught 63 passes for 821 yards with 11 touchdowns. He has chosen Dartmouth over offers from Penn, Brown and Cornell. Find his commitment post HERE.

This is some pretty elite company former Dartmouth offensive tackle Delby Lemieux is rubbing shoulders with on the offensive line at the Senior Bowl. Check out the game's social media post HERE.

A reminder that Canadian Football League standout Flo Orimolade '17 had 23.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, eight pass breakups and 143 tackles in 39 games at Dartmouth. He's coming off another solid season with the Calgary Stampeders.

HERO Sports has a piece headlined FCS Realignment: Conference Affiliation Changes In 2026 that notes Villanova and William & Mary will officially join the Patriot League as football members starting in the coming season. (LINK)

To the Patriot League's credit, the full 2026 schedule has been released (LINK) including Lehigh hosting Dartmouth on Sept. 19.

Green Alert Take: Don't you just wish the Ivy League would take the clue and post its composite schedule?

For the record, here's the Patriot League lineup next fall:

Bucknell
Colgate
Fordham
Georgetown
Holy Cross
Lafayette
Lehigh

Richmond
Villanova
William & Mary

EXTRA POINT
A story in today's issue of The Dartmouth (LINK) discussed the "really unusually cold" winter we've been having this winter, and the fact that it may hinder recovery from the drought we experienced last summer.
That may well be, but the temperature this morning is just above freezing and we're getting rain. The good news is the ice in my driveway is finally starting to wash away. The bad news is that the temperature is expected to drop to drop to 11 degrees by this time tomorrow and if the runoff from this morning's rain doesn't, well, run off, my driveway is going to be worse than it was. And that was pretty bad.
