After spending the preseason and the start of last fall at Northern Illinois before leaving the program, former Dartmouth quarterback Jackson Proctor ’25 has a new home:
Helping Proctor find his new school were the Flores brothers, Jacob ’16, John Paul ’22 and Michael ’23, former Dartmouth offensive linemen. From the website of their new concern, Triad NIL (LINK):
NIL Representation Built on Integrity.
For years, we did the dirty work on the offensive line. We protected quarterbacks who got all the glory. We blocked for running backs who scored touchdowns. We never complained. That's what O-linemen do.
Now we're protecting athletes' NIL deals the same way with zero ego and maximum effort.
The Flores brothers explain their new concern this way . . .
Our brother Michael was contacted by an NIL agent on Instagram. They promised him $500,000 if he entered the transfer portal. He trusted them. He left his team. And then? Nothing. No money. No offers. No support. Just empty promises and a career in limbo.
That's when we knew something had to change. Athletes deserve better. They deserve representation that actually cares about their future, not just a quick commission check.
So we started Triad NIL. Three brothers who played offensive line at Dartmouth. We won two Ivy League championships. One of us played in the NFL. We know what sacrifice looks like. And we know you shouldn't have to give up 20% of your NIL just to get honest representation.
Don’t trust shady “agents.” Go with the ones who charge fair rates (3%), have over 20 years of connections in college football, and have actually been in your shoes—experienced the transfer portal 5 times and landed at a D1 school every single time #TransferPortal #CollegeFball pic.twitter.com/srh1vOqRDP

Speaking of transfers, HERO Sports once again dug into the records of FCS teams that took in the most transfers and here is what they found (LINK):
30 FCS teams brought in 15 or more D1 transfers before the 2025 season
• 11 teams saw an increase in their number of wins
• 14 teams saw a decrease in their number of wins
• 4 teams saw their number of wins stay the same
• 1 team (UTRGV) played its 1st football season
Two of the teams included in the study were from the Northeast and neither experienced much change in their fortunes:
Rhode Island – 21 (15 FBS, 6 FCS)
2024 record: 11-3
2025 record: 11-3
Win difference: 0Duquesne – 15 (7 FBS, 8 FCS)
2024 record: 8-3
2025 record: 7-5
Win difference: -1
Earlier this week I told you how I always regretted not brokering an introduction between my hometown friend’s son and the catcher on the Little League team I coached when they ended up at the same ACC school a few years ago. I had a hunch they would hit it off. As the earlier PAT shared, they somehow met on their own, and became fraternity brothers. If you missed it, you can find the earlier mention HERE.
(He) is one of my dear friends and I lived with him my senior year.
How cool is that?
