The Yale defense held Cornell to 278 yards but 10 penalties – including two pass interference calls in the red zone – and two interceptions proved costly. Filling in for Reno, sophomore quarterback Charles Hewitt completed 26-of-44 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in his first career start.
Yale, which came into the game ranked 17/18, is now 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the Ivy League. Cornell is 1-1 and 1-0 in conference action.

Hugo Merry's 25-yard field goal gave the Lions the lead in the top half of the overtime and when Georgetown's kicker missed a 37-yarder to tie in the bottom half the Lions had their second OT win in as many weeks.

Columbia (2-0) piled up a 27-10 advantage in first downs and outgained the Hoyas (0-3) by 431 yards to 234 but needed a fourth-down stop at their own 40 to force overtime. Griffin Johnson ran for 121 yards on 30 carries to pace Columbia, which got two touchdowns but also two interceptions from quarterback Chase Goodwin. The game drew 1,684 to Georgetown's Cooper Field.

Luke Yoder was held to 74 yards on 19 carries and Lehigh finished with just 49 yards through the air but the No. 6/7 Mountain Hawks held the Quakers off the scoreboard until the final two-plus minutes to post their 22nd consecutive regular season win in front of 1,839 in the rain at Franklin Field.

Penn managed just 95 yards of total offense through the midway point of the fourth quarter. Freshman quarterback Miles Teodecki finished 18-for-37 for 133 yards with two interceptions and was sacked three times. Penn is now 1-1 while Lehigh is 5-0.

First-year quarterback Wyatt Becker was an efficient 8-of-13 for 99 yards while backup Ty Ciongoli finished 3-for-4 for 65 yards and the touchdown. Kai Colón, the former Princeton quarterback who grad transferred to Albany, threw for 111 yards and ran for 49 for the Great Danes. Princeton improved to 1-1 in front of 3,902 while visiting Albany slipped to 2-3.

The Warriors limited New Haven to 170 yards of total offense while pounding out 318 yards on the ground to improve to 2-3 in front of 3,592 in North Andover, Mass.

The Crimson (2-0, 1-0 Ivy League) got three interceptions from Xaden Benson and a sharp performance from quarterback Charlie Smith to open the Ivy League season with a win over the Bears (1-1, 0-1 Ivy) before an announced crowd of 8,065 on a rainy and windy night at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket Friday night.
Smith completed 30-of-37 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in just his second collegiate start. His hot hand helped Harvard build a 14-0 halftime lead before Brown fought back in the second half. The Bears made it a one-possession game on a touchdown with 8:16 remaining but saw their chances to complete the comeback end with Benson's final interception at the Brown 39 with 1:32 remaining. Bears QB James Murphy finished 18-of-24 for 121 yards with the three interceptions and no touchdowns.
