B-Ev In High Gear

Check out the video above to see speedy Dartmouth receiver Brian Evans, who is having a terrific spring camp, win the 100 meters in the recent Dartmouth Invitational track meet at Memorial Field. Evans won the event in 10.92 seconds. Evans led the Ivies in yards-per-catch last fall.

Several readers have written to ask about this Saturday's scrimmage and whether video will be streamed over the Internet. I was told at last week's Green-White that the contest indeed will be streamed and available to Big Green Insider subscribers.

Former Dartmouth tight end Casey Cramer and a Tennessee Titan teammate joined players from Murray State in a charity fundraiser. There's a brief story here. If you look closely at this photo you can see Casey in his No. 48 Titans jersey. Now, I don't know for sure, but it looks like Casey and his teammate had a very large ride for just two guys ;-)

There are a few updates on Ivy League players getting their shot at pro football. Harvard sports information has this story about Clifton Dawson heading to the Indianapolis Colts. ... The University of Pennsylvania site writes here about guard Sean Estrada hooking up with the San Francisco 49ers and tight end Chris Mizell getting a contract with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes. ...

When New Hampshire's David Ball didn't hear his name called by the fifth round, he headed outside to play some wiffle ball according to this story by Allen Lessels in the Manchester Union Leader. Ball eventually accepted a free-agent deal with the Chicago Bears.

Jake Novak over at Roar Lions Roar offers his opinion on the NFL draft and draftniks largely overlooking the Ivy League.
