Among the things to keep in mind are that Princeton, Cornell and Bucknell have new coaches with all that entails, Penn quarterback Keiffer Garton was hurt last year and so was his top backup, Yale QB Collier Winters will be challenged (if the NCAA makes him eligible) by LSU transfer Andrew Hatch, and Yale quarterback Patrick Witt will be pushed again by Brook Hart, who split time with him last year.

The Daily Review writes about Adam Harris, who transferred from Cornell to Syracuse and could be the starting fullback for the Orange next fall. (Another Syracuse fullback actually played in the shadow of Memorial Field at Hanover High School. Carl Cutler was a tight end for the Marauders who was reported to be on the Dartmouth radar at some point in the recruiting process.)The transfer from Cornell to Syracuse got me thinking about Dartmouth players who have transferred out. I remember there was a wide receiver from California who left school because of a family issue and ended up walking on at USC, but I don't think he ever saw much, if any, action. Can't recall his name. Maybe you can.
The last transfer out of Dartmouth to make a mark elsewhere that I can remember is Jared Kesler, who played two years on the Big Green defensive line before becoming a starter on some pretty good TCU teams in 2003 and '04. Find his TCU bio here.

While the Green-White Game was taking place on Memorial Field yesterday things didn't go so well for Dartmouth teams on the road. The baseball team dropped a twinbill at Harvard yesterday and still needs a win today in a doubleheader at home against the Crimson to clinch a date in the Ivy League Championship Series at Columbia. ... The softball team was eliminated from the Ivy League race with a double-dip at Harvard and the men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-9 overtime heartbreaker at Brown to miss a chance at the inaugural Ivy League tournament that features the top four teams in the league. ... Women's lacrosse plays Penn today at 12:30 on CBS CollegeSports TV in the championship of the women's Ivy League Tournament. And no, the Ivy League football champion still can't play in the postseason.
