Game One opponent Bucknell had its first full practice session yesterday. Find a brief story about the start of Bison practice here and a short video look at the start of practice here. If nothing else, check out the video to get a look at one of my favorite FCS football stadiums.*
The Lehigh Football Nation blog had a little more background on Bucknell out of the Patriot League media day. LFN writes:"We're all excited for the season," (defensive end Tyler) Anderson told BisonVision. "Everyone's got a shot at the title."
He's not kidding. If Bucknell can get their offense together, they could absolutely be in the mix. And that's (new head coach Joe) Susan's area of expertise.

Great news about Yale hockey player Mandi Schwartz, who has been battling acute myeloid leukemia. (Link)*
It's been a quiet summer here on the shoulder of Moose Mountain with That Certain Hanover Grad away at overnight camp as a counselor. She was the first female Counselor of the Week at her camp, which was pretty neat given the number of counselors. ... That Certain Hanover Junior-to-Be begins tryouts for the high school golf team one week from today.
