Soggy Day in Hanover Town

It is an absolutely miserable morning. Dark and windy with torrential rain falling. (The rain is exactly what we need, actually.) The Weather.com forecast for gametime tomorrow is now calling for 49 degrees with a "few showers" and wind from the northwest at 18 mph. The "chance of precipitation" is 30 percent through most of the game, but conditions should improve by 4 and so they might just pick up a little earlier.

The Dartmouth game notes for Holy Cross have been posted here.

The Daily Dartmouth has a Holy Cross preview as well as a column comparing the Big Green football team to a pledge. From the latter:
Although the team has suffered some excruciating losses this season, this Big Green team can now call itself a legit member among the brotherhood of the Ancient Eight.
*
Jake Novak at Roar Lions Roar digs up the "offshore" point spread each week and reports Dartmouth is a 4.5 point favorite. He writes:
I like the Big Green to win this game, but not to cover the spread.
*
The Sagarin Ratings have Holy Cross about a half-point favorite over the Big Green.

Former Dartmouth receiver Kyle Battle is involved in the development of an organization called Sports Business at Dartmouth. From a story in the Daily Dartmouth, the organization ...
... plans to promote a variety of jobs in sports-related industries, such as careers in media, management, marketing and sports medicine.

Stumbled across this video during my daily webtour. Kind of a novel way to split the uprights, I'd say.

The Daily Dartmouth's Mirror has a story about reconstruction of The Class of 1953 Commons, nee Thayer Dining Hall. Having done the college tour thing last year, I feel on solid ground saying Dartmouth facilities don't lag behind other "elite" colleges in many areas, but this was certainly one of them.
