Rhyme Time

Senior corner Kevin De Regt's final Deregtory blog of the football season has been posted by the Daily Dartmouth. It's written in rhyme and this might be the best part:
The winning record was our first in 13 seasons,
As to why it took so long, I can offer only one reason.
So ponder this question over a tea, or a cold lager:
Did any of those 13 teams have a bench-warming blogger?

For leading us to six wins, I will surely be exalted,
As for the losses, how could a backup be faulted?

The Dartmouth Review profiles quarterback Conner Kempe and has a story on the season that was written with two games remaining.

The Sports Network picks UNH to advance in the NCAA playoffs with a win over Bethune-Cookman and Lehigh to take a tumble at No. 3 Delaware. Ivy League champion Penn, like the legendary Jeopardy candidate who can't pull the trigger, will be "just watching."

A few leftover photos from an exciting 2010 football season ...

The video board tells the story at Princeton. The Franklin Field scoreboard as time runs down in regulation
The Memorial Field scoreboard after a close call
That Certain Hanover High Student tailgating at the Thompson lot between the VW bus and trusty Vlad

And last but certainly not least, a terrific effort by the Dartmouth men's soccer team before a goal in the second sudden-death overtime ended the Big Green season with a 2-1 loss at UCLA last night in the NCAA Sweet 16. Golden goal? Sorry, you won't find that hokey term here. The college press release on the story is here.
