A Little Recruiting Talk

OK recruiting geeks, here you go. Rivals.com has shown to be hit-or-miss when it comes to schools of "interest" for high school football players, but it tends to do a much, much better job with schools that have made "offers."

If the recruiting service is to be believed, the following rising high school seniors have received "offers" from Dartmouth.
  • Quarterback Kedric Bostic, Jupiter Christian High School, Jupiter, Fla.
  • Quarterback Calvin Garrett, The Oakridge School, Arlington, Texas
  • Tight end Jack Sheehy, St. Andrews School, Boca Raton, Fla.
  • Tight end Matt Doneth, Detroit Catholic Central
  • Running back Brian Grove, King's Academy, West Palm Beach, Fla.
  • Safety Frankie Hernandez, Belen Jesuit, Miami
Sheehy, the 6-5 tight end from St. Andrews School in Boca Raton, was a high school teammate of incoming quarterback Cam Crage.

Not included in this list are players who received offers but have verbally committed elsewhere.

As is always the case when it comes to recruiting news off the Internet, your mileage may vary.

Former Dartmouth defensive end Charles Bay had a 6-yard sack in the third quarter and a tackle for no gain later in the third quarter of the US national team's 48-7 win over Germany before 6,800 in the IFAF Senior World Championships in Austria. The Americans will next face unbeaten Mexico with the winner of that game playing for the world title.

If you watch closely in the early part of the following highlight – including the first play of the package – you can pick out Charles a few times. He's wearing 91.
