Headed To HC

Off to Worcester this morning as the Dartmouth football season reaches the midway point with the final nonconference game against Holy Cross.

Can't find the Worcester Telegram story online but there's a synopsis on the Holy Cross message board that includes the following from Crusaders coach Tom Gilmore on losing to Brown last week. (The first part should surprise no one who knows him.):
"I hate losing, maybe more than anyone in the world, but there are differences in how you lose. There are times you're going to fall short in competition. Brown is a good team and they won the game, but at the same time, we're making mistakes we shouldn't be making at this point in the season--whether it's not being on the same page, not communicating, not being in the right position--those kinds of things."
According to the message board, the Worcester Telegram writer picks Holy Cross, 30-17.

The Crusaders are a 14.5 point favorite, perhaps surprising given they are 2-3, albeit against a tough schedule, and Dartmouth is 1-3. Jake Novak at Roar Lions Roar has Holy Cross among his picks this week.

In its preview the WHRB Sports Blog writes:
After two close losses, Dartmouth had a more Dartmouth-y 30-0 loss to Yale last weekend.
Ouch.

In case you missed it, the Ivy League's weekly release can be found here.
