3 Chosen All-New England

From the Dartmouth Sports Publicity site:
The New England Football Writers announced their 2011 FCS All-New England Team today, and three seniors from the Dartmouth Big Green were honored with their inclusion. Offensive lineman Ryan O'Neill (Orland Park, Ill.) and running back Nick Schwieger (Norton, Mass.) are repeat selections from 2010, while defensive lineman Eddie Smith (Louisville, Ky.) joined the offensive duo this year. Only two other teams had more players chosen for the team — Harvard and New Hampshire, each of which is nationally ranked, had four apiece.

Enrique Salem '87, CEO of Symantec, gave a talk entitled, "The Fog of War: Security and Cloud Computing," as part of the Tuck School of Business 2011-2012 Britt Technology Impact Series. Salem is a former Big Green linebacker who once said:
When you play football, you really understand it is a team effort. When you play organized sports, especially team sports, it’s not about individuals. I think organized sports are a way to learn a lot about things that will be helpful in business.

The Daily Dartmouth has a story about the Hanover Inn closing Dec. 5 for renovations that are scheduled to be completed in time for graduation. From The D:
The renovations will allow the Inn to remodel its current restaurant offerings and add 16 additional guest rooms, a 240-seat event space and new meeting rooms . . .
