More On Incoming QB

The Ladue-Frontenac Patch has named Dartmouth-bound quarterback Thomas Militello of St. Louis as a co-athlete of the fall along with a Mary Institute Country Day School teammate headed to the University of Missouri. According to the Patch story, he completed 223-of-329 passes (70 percent) this fall for 3,400 yards with 44 touchdowns and nine interceptions with a QB rating of 139.87.

The story mentions that Militello lived in Japan when he was younger and that his father starred at MICDS before lining up at wide receiver for Duke. From the story:
He’s pretty much a student of the game. He’s spent summers at quarterback camps run by the Manning family (Archie, Peyton and Eli) at Nichols State University in Louisiana and camps run by former Nebraska star Shawn Watson (coach at Louisville) and by local QB coach Skip Stitzell.

If you are into this sort of thing, an Ivy League message board has an early discussion going on about the 2012 season. Leave it to the inimitable Holtsledge to put the punctuation on the discussion with six reasons why it is a l-i-t-t-l-e early for such talk.

Two teams of interest begin play in the FCS playoffs today and no, one of them isn't Harvard. Lehigh (10-1), whose only loss was a 48-41 overtime heartbreaker against New Hampshire, plays at Towson (9-2) and UNH (8-3) is at Montana State (9-2). The Sports Network has capsules on all of the playoff games.

Dartmouth women's ice hockey will play Providence outdoors at Fenway Park on Jan. 10. (link)
