In case you are wondering, mud season is in full blossom here on the mountain. Last night I drove six miles out of my way to avoid a particular stretch of mud and still it was a white knuckler. Mud season usually lasts about three weeks and to be completely honest, it's not much fun. Do I speed up to make it through that deep and gooey rut or do I pick and choose the high spots and hope I don't bog down? Six of one . . .The Manchester Union Leader is calling this one of the worst mud seasons in years. From the newspaper:
