Billieve

The rain hasn't started yet here in State College but it's expected to be either a gully washer or a day of periodic thunderstorms, depending on which service you believe. Given that State College is the home of AccuWeather, I'll go with "a couple of thunderstorms."

"We Billieve" is a slogan that has been printed across T-shirts and hats here in Happy Valley and there's an Ivy League connection of course. Replacing Brown grad Joe Paterno as the Penn State coach is Bill O'Brien, who has done a terrific job of winning over much of the Nittany Nation.

O'Brien graduated from Brown in 1992 with a double concentration in political science and organizational behavior management.

Speaking of T-shirts and hats, I've been tempted a few times to list some of the more bizarre things you can buy with Penn State imprinted on them in the many souvenir shops in town. It is possible that the trophy has been retired. Yes, you can now buy a Penn State-decorated cover for the transponder that lets you into your gated community or automatically pays your tolls. Be sure to order yours today ;-)
Tonight on Green Alert Premium: Notes from the first couple of weeks of spring ball. As noted before, the "sign-on" is not working with Google Chrome (which is not unusual for this type site) so if you have another browser, that is the way to go. Also, if you use Safari (my browser of choice) and the site does not refresh, you may have to clear your cache. I hope to have both issues addressed before the start of preseason in August.
