The New Haven Register has an update on Yale's Jesse Reising, who had his dream of joining the Marines ended when he suffered nerve damage in his final game against Harvard. Unable to serve, he instead put his energies into creating Operation Opportunity, which helps provide educational opportunities for veterans and children of fallen service members.

That Certain Hanover High Grad's plane from Barcelona landed about a half hour early at JFK airport in New York yesterday, allowing us to get back to town in time for the final couple of innings of the unbeaten Green Machine's 3-0 win in the Cal Ripken division semifinals. The kids play for the division title tomorrow evening.
