When defensive end Malcolm Freberg '09 used to make plays during practice there would be frequent shouts of FREE-BERG. Or was it FREE BIRD a la Lynyrd Skynyrd? I honestly don't know which but it always made me smile.No doubt, former teammates and TV viewers will sometimes smile, sometimes laugh and probably occasionally grimace watching Freberg on the TV show Survivor: Philippines.

It was fun having a chance to meet freshmen and their parents last night at the get-together in Hanover. Some big and athletic guys are headed this way ;-) . . . Preseason practice begins tomorrow morning. . . . Previews continue on BGA Premium tonight with a look at Yale. The preview series concludes this week with Butler tomorrow, Holy Cross Thursday and Sacred Heart on Friday. . . .
