Yale Memories

Curt Bury '53, has traveled to the Yale Bowl from his home in Maryland to see his 64th consecutive Dartmouth-Yale football game. Curt, who wrote the first program to computerize play-by-play statistics for Dartmouth football in the 1980s, was kind enough to share a list of his 10 most memorable Dartmouth-Yale games through the years as well as a second list of games that narrowly missed the cut.

CURT'S TOP 10

Dartmouth-Harvard on TV. From the Dartmouth sports information office:
Comcast SportsNet announced this week that it will televise the college football game at Dartmouth’s Memorial Field between the Big Green and Harvard on Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. on its New England regional channel (CSNNE)
And . . .
Comcast Sports Network can be found in the Hanover area on Comcast cable in high definition on channel 779 (standard definition on 35), DirecTV on channel 630 and Dish Network on channel 435.
Unfortunately, like NBC Sports Network, even those of us who have Dish won't be able to see the game unless we have a certain level programming package.

While quarterback Alex Park is leading Dartmouth onto the field at Yale this afternoon, younger brother Ian Park will be at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa., as his Northwestern Wildcats take on Penn State. Ian is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound freshman offensive lineman. Back home and playing for Upper St. Clair High School is third brother Austin, a 5-11, 260 center and defensive lineman. From a Trib Total Media story about him this summer:

Austin Park wasn’t blessed with the accurate arm of his brother, Alex, or the sheer size of his brother, Ian, but the Upper St. Clair senior offensive lineman has the brains and brawn to match both.
Entering his third season as a starter, Park is regarded as one of the top centers in the WPIAL. Ivy and Patriot league schools have taken notice of not only of his 4.2 grade-point average and scores of 29 on the ACT and 1,950 on the SAT but also his ability to bench-press 350 pounds and squat 550.
