Super Ivy

As is the case more often than you would think, the Ivy League has a player in the Super Bowl. Snapping the ball for the Baltimore Ravens tomorrow will be Harvard grad Matt Birk, who is now starting to get a little buzz as a potential Hall of Famer.

All eight Ivy League schools have had players appear in the Super Bowl. Dartmouth's representative? Linebacker Reggie Williams, who made it to the big game with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1982 and 1989.

Dartmouth is the only Ivy not to have a player on a Super Bowl winning team.

It has been confirmed that the Illinois defensive end reported at first to be headed to Dartmouth by Rivals (and as a result here) will attend Columbia instead.
