Catching Up With Kirby

Dartmouth wide receiver Kirby Schoenthaler has been chosen to the College Football Performance Awards Kickoff Returner Award Watch List. From CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith:
"Congratulations to Kirby Schoenthaler on earning a spot on the 2013 CFPA Watch List. Schoenthaler will be one of the top special teams players to watch in the Ivy League in 2013."
Last fall Schoenthaler returned 18 kickoffs for 364 yards (20.2 ypr) including a 79-yard jaunt for a touchdown in the first quarter of the Sacred Heart game.

The junior from Bartlesville, Okla., was the subject of a story in his hometown Examiner-Enterprise that detailed a different role for him in the receiving corps, one that hopes will allow him to return to the form he showed as a freshman when he led the Big Green with 25 catches for 227 yards. He had six grabs for 44 yards last year after battling back from a hamstring issue.
A couple of rising high school seniors either have Dartmouth in their sights or are on the Big Green's radar.

David Seagle, who like Schoenthaler comes from the Dartmouth recruiting hotbed of Oklahoma, has heard from the Big Green among other Ivies according to Tulsa World. He's a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman from Cascia Hall.

Former defensive end Danny Husband '13 and incoming running back Abrm McQuarters '17 are recent Dartmouth recruits from Cascia Hall.
Also taking a look at Dartmouth is Lebanon, Ind., quarterback Isaac Harker. According to the Indianapolis Star he threw for 1,948 yards and 19 touchdowns a year ago.
And yes, it's dumping rain on us again today. Keep your fingers crossed for our basement.
