Crimson Insights

From the Harvard Crimson looking ahead to Saturday evening's Ivy League showdown between Harvard and Dartmouth:
“I think you’re going to learn just how resilient we are,” Harvard coach Tim Murphy said. “Our kids have a tremendous amount of pride. Some years you lose a tough game like this, and you’ve got a maybe average opponent. We don’t have that luxury.”
Curious about Harvard's defensive gameplan?
“Our number one focus entering any game is stopping the run,” said senior defensive back D.J. Monroe. “That’s one of our goals for victories, is under 100 yards rushing for any running back. I’m sure the d-line will be getting after those guys down low in the gaps and making it harder to find lanes to run through.”

More from Murphy:
“In a league that’s got a lot of really great quarterbacks, Dalyn Williams is probably the most athletic of all of them,” Murphy said. “Ivy League Rookie of the Year as a freshman, lightening (sic) quick, and we have to account for him on every single play.”
A preview of top games on The Sports Network site has a capsule on the Penn at Brown game and includes this:
If we're talking overall records here, the battle for the Ivy League title would be between half of the conference's eight teams. One could even argue that 3-3 squads Dartmouth and Yale wouldn't even be out of the race.
The next sentence clears that up:
With four weeks left, it's still an up-in-the-air fight. And since we're focusing on conference records and a shortened season, it's still absolutely anyone's league.
From the weekly prognositcation by Roar Lions blogmaster Jake Novak, who got a first-hand look at Dartmouth the last week:
I still think the Crimson will win this one, thanks to some matchup advantages they didn’t have against Princeton. But the Big Green will not be embarrassed.
