The Way It Was

Take a step into the time machine today to look back at the Oct. 14, 1961 Dartmouth-Brown game. Courtesy of Footballvideos.com watch quarterback Bill King toss two touchdown passes and run for another and John Krumme carry 18 times for 92 yards as the undefeated Big Green hands the Bears a 34-0 loss on soggy Memorial Field.

Dartmouth would lose its next two games at Holy Cross and Harvard and finish the the season 6-3 overall.

Harvard and Columbia – yes Columbia – shared the Ivy League title with 6-1 records that fall while Dartmouth tied for third at 5-2.

Ryan Arkie, who walked onto the Dartmouth football team as a wide receiver last fall, had a chance to play show-and-tell with a member of the Albuquerque Journal news staff. Check out this brief.
