Catching Up With Three '02s

Adam Sandler and former quarterback Brian Mann '02 in a screen grab from the video.
No fewer than four readers sent along a link (thanks!) to a short KHOU TV feature with former Dartmouth quarterback Brian Mann, now an associate athletic director for development at Rice University. Not surprisingly, much of the piece deals with his role as Adam Sandler's stunt double in the remake of The Longest Yard. Watch the interview with Brian HERE.
Gordy Quist '02 (second from left) and Trevor Nealon '02 (center)
Also in the news in Texas are Brian Mann's former teammates and '02 classmates, Gordy Quist and Trevor Nealon. Duende, the new album with their Austin, Texas-based The Band of Heathens, is featured on the Rolling Stone website. You can stream songs off the album on the Rolling Stone page HERE.

Quist was a linebacker at Dartmouth and Nealon a defensive back. Learn more about The Band of Heathens HERE.

Listen to Gordy, with the funky hat, explain the origins of a song and then perform it on Houston Public Media:
Not to "bury the lede," but it's another day and another All-America honor for Dartmouth linebacker Flo Orimolade. This time he's been named to the Athlon Sports 2016 FCS Postseason All-America team along with Princeton's John Lovett, who was named to the "all-purpose" position. (LINK)
I fell asleep late in the fourth quarter of the national championship game last night and found out who won only this morning. I understand not starting the game too early for West Coast folks who are still at work or commuting, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only East Coaster who didn't make it to the end. There's got to be a better way . . .
