Wednesday Stuff

Former UMass standout and Canadian Football League veteran receiver Brandon London visits with early decision Dartmouth admit Masaki Aerts as part of his "Cultured Athlete" series:

Recruiting weekends are in full swing as high school seniors try to sort out their options in advance of the Feb. 1 signing date. Colleges across the country all try to put their best foot forward while potential recruits are on campus. This screen grab from the Twitter account of a potential Dartmouth recruit offers a look at a display in the Big Green locker room that features three mannequins, a lot of "swag" and some serious overstuffed chairs ;-)

Matt Burke '98, the former Dartmouth defensive back mentioned in last week's BGA (LINK) could be in line for a promotion. From the Miami Herald:
While the Miami Dolphins wait to see whether defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is hired by one of the five teams interested in interviewing him for a head coaching job, the team’s next defensive coordinator has all but been identified.
Joseph is reportedly scheduled to interview with the Denver Broncos Tuesday and ESPN reported the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to interview the coach on Thursday. The Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers also have permission to interview Joseph.
If Joseph is hired by another team, the coach the Dolphins are likely to promote as the next defensive coordinator is linebacker coach Matt Burke, according to sources.
