Game Day

Friday Wrap with a pithy thought or two:

Yale 34, Brown 7
You've heard this before but if this had been a fight they would have stopped it. The Bulldogs (7-1) piled up 563 yards while barely breaking a sweat. Freshman running back Zane Dudek firmed his hold on the Ivy League rushing lead with 165 yards on just 13 carries (12.7 per). Brown quarterback Thomas Linta, who spent the better (worst?) part of the night on his back was just 12-of-39 for 144 yards with two touchdowns as the Bears (2-6) managed just 235 yards of offense. They had just 150 yards before their touchdown drive against the Yale reserves at the end of the game. Yale improves to 4-1 in the Ivy League while Brown drops to 0-5.

Big day in Hanover with Cornell bringing a 3-1 Ivy League record to Memorial Field to face a Dartmouth team that is 2-2 in the conference and hoping to keep its hopes for a title alive. The current forecast calls for 46 degrees and mostly cloudy skies at the 1:30 kickoff. The wind will be 5 mph out of the north with just a 2 percent chance of precipitation.
