Marching In Like A Lamb

On a first day of March when the temperature in these parts could hit the mid-40s here are three things to consider:

1) This was the first time since 1999 that there was no full moon in February. Prior to that it hadn't happened since 1980. On average it happens every 19 years.

2) While we celebrate the arrival of spring on March 21, today is actually the start of spring in the meteorological calendar. (Go ahead and Google it ;-)

3) And, at long last, we can finally say it:
Dartmouth spring football begins next month. That's right. The Big Green is tentatively slated to hit the field on Tuesday, April 10.
Yesterday's BGA Daily had the states expected to send recruits to Hanover. Keeping in mind no one with the program is allowed to comment on the regular-decision admits at this time, here are the names we've identified (largely by Twitter) with their best-guess positions.* (Offensive line, defensive line or tight end might be the toughest prediction, although I won't even try to figure out corner/safety/nickel.)

And finally, the world headquarters of BGA here on Moose Mountain went up on the MLS listings yesterday. As someone wise suggested recently, this isn't the end of the story, just the start of another chapter. I like that ;-)
