'Coach Cuskie'

Click to read this page from the 1968 Dartmouth media guide.
After compiling a ridiculous 59-1-5 record that included a 51-game winning streak at Pennsylvania's Neshaminy High School, John Petercuskie broke into the college coaching ranks at Dartmouth under Bob Blackman. "Coach Cuskie" ran the Big Green's defensive line from 1966-68 before he moved on to Boston College . He also made stops at Harvard, Princeton, with the Cleveland Browns and finally at Liberty.

Petercuskie died last week at age 93 and the Intelligencer newspaper out of Doylestown, Pa. has a look at his life HERE.
Any question about fifth-year standouts returning for the Princeton football team were erased this week with the announcement that three of them – quarterback John Lovett, defensive end Kurt Holuba and linebacker Mark Fossati – will serve as team captains next fall. They will be joined by linebacker Thomas Johnson. (LINK

There are a bunch of stops I make each morning to pull together BGA Daily and one of them is the College Sports Journal Message Board's Ivy League Conference Forum. Why I visit the site each day I'm not sure because it just sits there quietly. I wonder sometimes if people don't know about the board or whether the requirement to register before posting scares people off. Out of curiosity I've tossed up a post to see if it will spur interest in intelligent and respectful discussion of Ivy League football and sports. Check the board out HERE.
