Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens quoted in the story:
″I tell people if you played football more than five years ago, your association with sub-concussive hits was pretty much non-existent because we didn’t talk about it. Because of science that’s all changed.
″All the toughness of jacking them up, putting them in the bull of the ring and the Oklahoma drill is for no real purpose. If you take some of that out, what I found is that the health of my team is maintained longer over the course of the season.″

Former Dartmouth running back Brendan O'Neill '72 is a proud father with his son, Brian, being selected last night by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the NFL Draft. Brian O'Neill is an offensive tackle who played at Pitt.
Dartmouth's Green-White spring game is still a week away but Cornell's live-tackling pring game is this afternoon. Kudos to the folks in Ithaca for having some fun with sponsorship for the contest, which is being billed as the Red-White Purity Ice Cream Bowl. (LINK)

Game captains for the Cornell spring game were determined by "Big Red Power" scores earned this spring and the teams were chosen via a fun draft:
