Living The Dream

Jack Heneghan '18 had to wait for his chance to get on the field with the San Francisco 49ers this preseason but he certainly made the most of it.

All Quarterback Jack did was complete 8-of-9 passes for 58 yards and run two times for 17 yards while engineering a 16-play, 90-yard touchdown drive in a 23-21 loss to the Chargers. In addition to the interview above – always unfailingly polite, he even thanks the reporters for coming – there's a full story about him living out "his childhood dream" on the NBC site. (LINK)

From the story:
“He knows everything inside-and-out, and he’s worked as hard as anyone in learning the offense,” (Niners coach Kyle) Shanahan said. “I think the guys really respect him, just how hard he worked this offseason through OTAs and how hard he worked out in the weight room when we were away. He’s a talented guy who deserved the opportunity based on his ability, also the way he handled himself.”
There's another piece about Heneghan on the 49erswebzone site. (LINK)
