Of Stone And Heneghan

Screengrab courtesy of CBC.
Ryder Stone '18 carried 14 times for 81 yards last night and caught one pass out of the backfield in his first Canadian Football League start to help the Montreal Alouettes to a 21-11 win over the Ottawa Redblacks. Watch the highlights HERE, including Stone's 21-yard run near the start.
Dartmouth grad Jack Heneghan '18 had a solid outing in his only preseason action with the San Francisco 49ers but when the team released its cuts yesterday his name was included. He did what he could when given a chance but as USA Today's NinersWire wrote:
He could’ve thrown for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns Thursday and still gotten released.

Jake Novak over at the Roar Lions blog follows the Ivy League as closely as anyone but it says here that his conference preview undervalues Princeton. We'll see if he's right before long ;-)
