FYI

The newly released Dartmouth Athletics Gender Equity Plan is introduced this way (LINK):

The external reviews of athletics began in 2021, following a legal settlement with a group of student-athletes regarding Dartmouth’s compliance with Title IX, the federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in programs and activities at universities that receive federal funding.

Dartmouth will issue annual status reports on the implementation of the plan that will be posted on the Athletics website on March 15, 2023, March 15, 2024, and March 15, 2025.

With that out of the way, find the full report HERE.

Green Alert Take: Yeah, I probably should have posted this when it arrived in my in box earlier this week. But to be completely honest, after a lengthy wait to get a look at it there simply isn't much to the first report. It's pretty much just an outline of what the college intends to look into.

A 247Sports story headlined Five Virginia players to watch this spring is a reminder that graduating Dartmouth offensive lineman John Paul Flores will find a "help wanted" sign when he reports to the Cavaliers' camp (LINK):

The offensive line group is the biggest question going into the 2022 season. The Cavaliers will have only one returning offensive lineman with experience this spring - since grad transfers John Paul Flores (Dartmouth) and Mac Hollensteiner (Georgetown) will be enrolling at UVA this summer after they finish their respective degrees this spring, so they will not be available this spring.

Mike Bruno, who worked with the nickels, secondary and special teams at Dartmouth from 2011-15, has certainly paid his FBS dues since departing Hanover and has finally come out the other side as the new inside linebackers coach at UNLV.

Since leaving Dartmouth Bruno spent 2016 as a defensive grad assistant at Mississippi State, 2017 as a defensive quality control coach at Louisville and four seasons as a defensive quality control assistant at Cal.

Find a story about Bruno landing at UNLV HERE.

EXTRA POINT
With daytime temperatures rising above freezing Mrs. BGA and I have traded cars for the past couple of weeks so I can have all-wheel drive on my way to the trailhead for my daily hike up the mountain. The thawing dirt road to get there has been soft but passable so far, but with the mercury possibly topping 60 degrees today things could get tricky on my two-mile drive. Mud season is one of those times when I really miss living on the shoulder of Hanover's Moose Mountain, where I could walk out my back door, through the woods and onto the Appalachian Trail without ever setting foot (or tires) on a muddy road.
