Friday Roundup

John Paul Flores' 22, is back in the portal for the third time . . .

From a story posted HERE

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive guard joined Louisville last offseason as a transfer from Virginia, but was not a consistent fixture of Louisville's offensive line rotation. Flores played in just five games during his lone season as a Cardinal, including a start in the Holiday Bowl against USC. He allowed just one pressure in 31 pass block snaps and 101 blocking snaps overall.

And . . .

While Flores is now a two-time transfer, he will be eligible to play immediately at his next destination. Last month, the NCAA adopted legislation that would allow multi-time transfers who transfer before the end of the 2023-24 academic calendar to be immediately eligible for next season.

Green Alert Take: Best of luck to Flores, a letterman at Dartmouth in 2018, 2019 and 2021, who is only doing what the NCAA allows. That said, the portal is broken.

Speaking of the portal, wide receiver Isaac Boston '24, has received an offer from Marist and new head coach Mike Willis, the former Princeton assistant.

From Dartmouth football social media:

With a little digging, here's Howard's rushing touchdown count:

7 – Cornell
5 – Penn
4 – Brown
4 – Yale
4 – Sacred Heart
3 – New Hampshire
2 – Colgate
2 – Lehigh
2 – Valparaiso
1 – Harvard

Surprisingly, neither Columbia nor Princeton is on the list.

EXTRA POINT
The blurb accompanying pictures of our Vermont hillside house when we bought it included this: "With full sun filling the house all day, you can sit on the covered front porch and enjoy the sunrise and in the evenings hang out with friends on the enclosed three-season porch and watch the sun set." The real estate agent who wrote that was a little confused about directions because the three-season porch faces the sunrise over Moosilauke, not the sunset, but you get the idea. With the sun making a rare appearance here's what the view out our bedroom window looked like yesterday, with the mountain I hike most days in silhouette to the right:

And yes, those colors are accurate. ;-)
