Your Sunday Ivy League roundup:

And Friday night:

Columbia  13, Yale  10
Lions'  quarterback Cole Freeman hit wide receiver Bryson Canty with a 44-yard touchdown pass with 4:39 remaining last night to end Yale's hopes of an Ivy League three-peat. Canty caught five passes for 107 yards as Columbia improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League in front of a crowd of 3,560 in New York City. Yale, which had won two in a row since falling to Dartmouth in overtime by one point, slipped to 4-3 and 1-3. No three-loss team has ever won a share of the Ivy League title.

And in games featuring Dartmouth's nonconference opponents:

• Fordham got off the schneid with a 20-14 win over Colgate. The Rams are now 1-8 while 'Gate falls to 2-7.

• Central Connecticut improved to 4-5 with a 24-14 win over 4-6 Wagner.

• Merrimack (4-5) dropped a 6-0 decision at Robert Morris (6-3), which registered its second shutout in as many weeks.

EXTRA POINT
Griffin the Wonder Dog's dinner time is 5:30 and believe me, he knows it. When he wanders by to remind us it's time to dine he's seldom off by more than a couple of minutes. It's really quite amazing.

The clock change is going to take him a little adjustment but he'll get there. He always does. ;-)
