Today's The Day

Coaches say it each week: "This is the biggest game of the year."

It really IS the biggest game of the year for Harvard – bigger right now than The Game – and BGA Overtime explains why HERE.

One of the best quotes I ever got was from former Harvard coach Joe Restic, who once famously said of playing at Dartmouth:

"They secrete something up there."

The AccuWeather forecast as of 8:30 this morning calls for 51 degrees and mostly sunny at kickoff with the wind out of the north-northwest at 9 mph.

From last night:

SI's FCS Football Central chimes in with a prediction (LINK):

The Crimson have found their rhythm since an early upset loss to Brown, while Dartmouth keeps escaping with wins. I expect Harvard's defense to win the battle at the line of scrimmage and Craig to make enough plays to pull off the upset victory.

The Ivy League weekend got off to a heckuva start in New York City last night:

Columbia  13, Yale  10
Lions'  quarterback Cole Freeman hit wide receiver Bryson Canty with a 44-yard touchdown pass with 4:39 remaining last night to end Yale's hopes of an Ivy League three-peat. Canty caught five passes for 107 yards as Columbia improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League in front of a crowd of 3,560 in New York City. Yale, which had won two in a row since falling to Dartmouth in overtime by one point, slipped to 4-3 and 1-3. No three-loss team has ever won a share of the Ivy League title.

By the way, check out how Columbia tried to distract the Yale kicker:

Yes, that's a photo of the strange new statue of former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.

EXTRA POINT
It's the first weekend of November so there's no better time to share this. And if are too young to recognize the voice, Google the name kids:
