Back At It

Dartmouth kicked off spring practice Tuesday and unfortunately the BGA Premium report is on the backup site because of the ongoing website issues. Access it by clicking HERE. Use the oh-so-original password Premium.

The Big Green will be back at it again tomorrow so be sure to stop back for the next report Thursday night (or Friday morning).

First, though, a few pictures I snapped yesterday:

Although the Big Green finally kicked off its first official practice for the 2019 season yesterday the first game at Jacksonville is still 172 days away. The first home game isn't for 179 days.

The season-opener will be the first meeting with old friend Colgate since Dartmouth knocked off the Raiders in 2011 by a 37-20 count.

Clinging to a 13-7 lead at halftime of that game courtesy of a Dominick Pierre nine-yard touchdown run and a pair of Foley Schmidt field goals, Dartmouth piled up 17 points in the third quarter to get some breathing room before finally locking up the win on a two-yard Nick Schwieger TD run in the fourth quarter.

Schwieger finished the day with 175 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns while Pierre added 65 as Dartmouth piled up 258 yards on the ground. Schmidt was perfect on three field goal attempts with two from 41 yards and another from 32. Bronson Green and Joey Casey had 11 tackles apiece to lead Dartmouth while Luke Hussey had 10 stops.

From the Wayback Machine, here's a look at how it went:
