O-Dark-30

 And we're off . . .

The '84 VW Westfalia is loaded to the gills and we are on our way to spend a week with That Certain Dartmouth '14 in Colorado – via a family visit in Indiana. All of our food is in our fridge and cooler, we have latex gloves for the gas pumps and will be sleeping in the camper as we travel as safely as possible. Now fingers crossed about that rain!

CBS Sports has a story under the headline, Picking the best college football team in each state entering the 2020 season and the pick is not what it would have been a decade ago. From the story (LINK):

New Hampshire -- Dartmouth: Dartmouth went 9-1 in 2019 and won a share of the Ivy League title. That's good! The Big Green's only Division I competition, New Hampshire, went 6-5. Not bad, but not as impressive as Dartmouth.

The Dartmouth defensive back was picked to the honorable-mention team. Find the story HERE.

If  you are nosy (and aren't we all?) you can find the Carolina Panthers salaries HERE.

There's college football tonight on ESPN: No. 11 Central Arkansas and No. 13 Austin Peay.

EXTRA POINT

Our goal today is the Harrisburg, Pa., area. I used to be the sports editor of a daily newspaper just a little west of Harrisburg and it would be fun to get there early enough to stroll down memory lane.

But as I said at the top, Mother Nature may have other ideas!

Oh, and if you guessed that BGA Daily was pre-written today, give yourself a gold star. The plan this morning was pretty simple. Roll out of bed and drive ;-)
