And Another

Dartmouth recruiting continues heating up with punter Davis Golick from Georgia tweeting his intention to join the Big Green a year from now:

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Golick will be a senior this fall at Woodward Academy, the same school that sent wildcat quarterback Greg Patton '13 to Hanover. Watch his highlights HERE.

Find his Kohl's camp bio HERE. From that report:

He averaged 47+ yards during the final charting session and showed great natural talent as a punting specialist.

Golick earned an invite to the 2020 Kohl's Underclassman Challenge after a strong performance at the 2019 Winter Showcase Camp. He had multiple 50+ yard punts and continues to show that he has the leg talent to compete at the next level.

Green Alert Take: Without a true punter in the current freshman class Golick will be a welcome addition in another year but seriously, what were the chances after graduating Davis Brief the Big Green would find another punter named Davis?

From the go-figure department: Former Dartmouth offensive tackle Matt Kaskey could be in uniform for the Carolina Panthers this week. A website covering the team writes (LINK):

(Dennis) Daley’s injury also explains why offensive tackle Matt Kaskey was one of the four players the Panthers chose to protect from other teams this week, and there’s a good chance he’s one of the two practice squad players the Panthers add to the game day roster.

Dartmouth's football roster for the 2020-21 year has been posted with bios for the sophomores, juniors and seniors all updated and the freshmen listed. Find the roster HERE.

EXTRA POINT

As regular visitors to this electronic precinct know, That Certain Dartmouth '14 who earned an earth science degree in Hanover is pursuing a Master in Environmental Management here at Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colo., while working fulltime as an educational ranger for the National Park Service.

Today she gave us a tour of the school, which plays Division II football. Here are several snaps I took at the stadium, where the air is considerably thinner than at Mile High in Denver.
