Craig Haley, who does the Athlon Power Poll, has Princeton as his national team of the week, writing (LINK):
21. Princeton Tigers
(7-0, 4-0 Ivy)
Previous Ranking: 25 (tie)
Week 9 Result: 35-9 win over Cornell

NFL wide receiver prospect Andrei Iosivas caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and the Tigers – one of four unbeaten FCS teams – forced five turnovers. They haven’t lost a game in September or October since 2017.

Green Alert Take: A case can be made that Princeton is enjoying a splash on the national scene after arguably one of its least impressive games of the season. While the Tigers knocked off Cornell, 35-9, they managed just 13 first downs and 288 yards of offense.

Green Alert Take II: The flip side of that case is, Just how good is Princeton? So good that even with just 13 first downs and 288 yards of offense they still managed to beat Cornell comfortably, 35-9.

Syracuse coach Dino Babers is playing it a little coy, but Dartmouth grad transfer Isaiah Johnson could be in line for a start against Pitt this weekend with an ACL injury sidelining the normal starter. Find a story that mentions Johnson HERE.

Johnson has played in all eight games for the Orange (6-2) this fall, making 19 tackles, including nine against Clemson.

While Johnson will surely see time on the field, former teammate Derek Kyler will be on the Pitt sideline, in uniform with with a red hat on his head instead of a helmet. Kyler has yet to see the field as a grad transfer with the Panthers.

EXTRA POINT
Because our Vermont hillside home faces south, on cloudless days the sun streams onto the porch on that side of the house. On Sunday, even before the temperature climbed out of the 30s, I was able to sit comfortably out there in a T-shirt enjoying the view while I ate my cornflakes. Mrs. BGA eventually brought a book out and was reading on one of the Adirondack chairs while I worked on Sunday's stories. I came down sometime later and she was reading in the living room. When I asked why she came inside she said it had gotten too hot on the porch.  I checked our indoor-outdoor thermometer and it was 44 degrees.

Both because the porch is inset a little into the house and because there are short walls where the porch extends beyond the house, even on breezy winter days it can be very pleasant to sit out there and enjoy the wonderful view without a jacket – even when the temperature is in the single digits.
