Good luck keeping up with all of the transfer portal stuff!
Here's what I have for you this morning:
• Defensive lineman Shane Cokes has added Oklahoma State to his list of offers. A story on the OK State 247Sports site says he joins Yale offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo in gaining an offer from the Cowboys. Cokes now has OK State, West Virginia, Washington State, Purdue, Wake Forest, UConn, UMass and Coastal Carolina on his offer sheet. (LINK)
• Defensive back Seth Verilus has added offers from Robert Morris and Central Connecticut.
• DB Tyron Herring has added an offer from Eastern Kentucky.
• Running back Noah Roper has been offered by Valparaiso, which has welcomed 1,000-yard rushers out of the portal the past two years.

Still on the topic of the transfer portal, Penn defensive lineman Jake Heimlicher committed to UCLA yesterday.

This is a bizarre one. Valparaiso, which was thought to have ended its season at 5-6 (including a 35-13 loss at Dartmouth) has added a game at New Mexico State on the fly. Valpo running back Aaron Dawson quoted in a story on the Valparaiso football site (LINK):
"It’s a blessing; we have another opportunity and more time to get better and make an impression. For young guys, this gets them an opportunity to see how it is playing against an FBS opponent. As a senior, it’s amazing to get to play again. We have to keep grinding and take advantage of this chance to end the season with an incredible experience.”
The NCAA approved Valparaiso playing a 12th game just three days before it will take the field.
The Beacons will receive $425,000 for agreeing to Saturday's loss game per a story in the Las Cruces Sun News noting that it replaced an October game against San Jose State that was cancelled after the death of a San Jose player. (LINK)
The game will mark the second time Dartmouth grad transfer JJ Jones will have played against Valparaiso. He caught two passes for 24 yards in the Big Green's win at Valpo in 2021. Jones is in the featured photograph accompanying a story about the game HERE.

The Ivy League has chosen Harvard running back Aidan Borguet and Yale quarterback Nolan Grooms as the finalists for the conference's Bushnell Cup offensive player of the year award and Harvard lineman Truman Jones and Princeton linebacker Liam Johnson as the finalists for the Bushnell Cup defensive player of the year award. It is very special seeing familiar names contributing to the GoFundMe effort to help Dartmouth offensive lineman Josh Balara and his family as he fights cancer. A huge thank you to those who have helped out (LINK).

EXTRA POINT
You all know Tony Kornheiser from the groundbreaking ESPN TV program Pardon the Interruption (PTI) that he does with Michael Wilbon. But did you know he also had a long-running radio show that has evolved into a podcast? At the end of that podcast he reads often funny emails from a few listeners (referred to as "Littles"). Be sure to stick around just past the midway point of this 70-second excerpt:
