After posting the overall and Ivy League records for Ivy League teams for the past five years two days ago (LINK) I received an email asking about the 10-year records. To find that I had to compile the records for 2012-16, and here they are:

A few observations . . .
• Parity is the name of the game in terms of championships when it comes to the top five teams over the past 10 seasons.
• No surprise that Harvard, Dartmouth and Princeton are the runaway leaders in overall wins.
• Al Bagnoli's arrival at Columbia has made a huge difference at Columbia.
• Brown's slippage has been pronounced.

EXTRA POINT
Our Christmas tree is coming down today. Mrs. BGA has described it as "melting" and that description is apt. The needles aren't falling off any faster than usual, but the entire thing is drooping as if it has decided enough is enough. In another day or two all of the ornaments – including the beautiful Swarovski crystal snowflakes – will be in danger of crashing to the hardwood floor, not a good thing. It's always a little sad taking the tree down but the time has come.
