Lots of All-Ivy League news while we were out of town (out of the country, actually) yesterday but this is something that really caught my eye. Check out whose Xwitter this is from:

Green Alert Take: There's always a lot to quibble about when the All-Ivy team comes out and this year I'll quibble with the offensive line voting. I just wonder how a team can finish second in the Ivy League in rushing and allow just five sacks – fewer than half of any other school in the conference – and have just one offensive linemen on the first two all-league teams combined. Maybe OL coach Keith Clark should be getting a raise!

For perspective on how top-level Ivy League players are received in the portal, Penn defensive lineman Joey Slackman, who arrived at Penn as a wrestler – not a football player – had 17 offers in his first day after declaring and they included Wisconsin, Pitt, Oregon State, Arizona State, Miami, Louisville and of course Colorado. Find a story about the interest he's drawing HERE and how he went from wrestler to college football standout HERE.

EXTRA POINT
It was cold and quiet on our weekday visit to Quebec yesterday but still worth the drive (although unless you are a Quebecois I'd suggest you avoid ordering creton with your breakfast or brunch. ;-)
If you are ever visiting these parts and drive up I-91 to experience a little of Quebec you'll pass this sign just south of the border. After taking this pic yesterday I asked the question: If you didn't know any better, would you think we are closer in these parts to the North Pole or the Equator? We were unanimous in saying the North Pole, perhaps because of the snow on the ground and the four inches or so that would fall here last night.
