Here And There

It's always helpful when someone else does the dirty work. ;-)

HERO Sports has a piece headlined How Did 2023 FCS-To-FBS Transfers Perform? in which they dug up the statistics for those players from all around the country. (LINK).

Here are the Ivy League entries drawn from that list with Dartmouth's second-year FBS transfers as an add on. Pete Lembo, who made a lot of friends in Hanover as a member of the Dartmouth coaching staff from 1994-96, is the new head coach at the University at Buffalo. (LINK)

A Broyles Award Assistant Coach of the Year Semifinalist for Special Teams Coach of the Year with South Carolina last fall, Lembo has had previous success as a head coach at Lehigh, where he went 44-14, at Elon, where he took over a moribund program and went 35-22, and at Ball State, where he went 33-29 while becoming the first head coach to depart with a winning career record since 1994. His all-time head coaching record is 112-65.

EXTRA POINT
We often see deer foraging in our field or around our apple trees at sunset. Although we never see them when they bed down, in the morning we can sometimes tell where they spent the night. Shadows on a rare sunny morning highlight a couple of the handful of deer beds visible out the window today:
