For those of you keeping score, this "game-worn" Dartmouth football helmet doesn't have just the Big Green's signature striping and block D. It also has the signature of tennis Hall-of-Famer Roger Federer, who gave the commencement address at Dartmouth last month. The school's athletic department put the helmet up for auction starting at $5,000 and after a little extended bidding it sold for $11,000 to benefit Big Green athletic programming.
