Tiger Cat(o)

From a St. Louis Post-Dispatch story about the opening of Missouri football training camp (LINK):

Derham Cato, who had been a senior offensive analyst, is now the Tigers’ tight ends coach. He previously held that role at Washington, leading the development of NFL tight end Cade Otton, who led the Huskies in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns while in college in 2020.

Cato has also worked as an offensive coordinator at Davidson. He played at Dartmouth before professional stints in the Canadian Football and Arena Football leagues.

Cato '05, who served as Dartmouth tight ends coach in 2010 after his playing career ended, was a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt from 2011-13, then spent two years on staff at Davidson before moving on to the University of Washington in 2016 as an offensive analyst. He took over as tight ends coach at Washington in 2020.

EXTRA POINT
Mowing around our apple trees yesterday gave another indication that football season isn't all that far away:

Our trees seem to produce a good yield every other year, and after an abundant crop last fall this is a down year. It will be a few weeks before we're ready to pick but the color is coming along nicely.
