Two More

Add two more names to the list of Dartmouth commits that has gone public, including one with a particularly impressive list of offers.

Ryan Matulevich, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver from Venice High School and Sarasota, Fla., has announced Dartmouth as his college choice as has 5-10, 198 running back Immanuel "Manny" Johnson of Hammond High School and Columbia, S.C..

Matulevich, who had 131 catches for 1,884 yards and 19 touchdowns in his first three years of high school ball, is listed by 247Sports has having offers from Texas A&M, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, App State, Arkansas State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina and Florida International among others. Curiously, the only offer he reports on his Xwitter account is from Gardner Webb. Find a July story about his recruiting interests HERE.

Johnson's Xwitter reports his first offer was from Hampden-Sydney and his first DI offer was from Davidson.

Green Alert Take: Of interest, Stats Perform has Harvard as the only Ivy League representative in the Others Receiving Votes category. The coaches, by way of contrast, have Yale as the Ivy representative with Week five opponent Central Connecticut also getting a mention. Old friend New Hampshire is in the ORV list but is thought of much more highly by the coaches than the Stats voters.

EXTRA POINT
Those of you who are regular readers of the PAT (point after touchdown ;-) may recall that I whined about a nasty bee sting earlier this summer. Yesterday I was in our yard and discovered a large bees nest on the ground next to the shrub I had been trying to trim when I was stung. Not only had the nest been pulled out of the bush, but there was a volleyball-sized tunnel into the shrub that had not been there a day before.

Although our neighbor up the hill has seen a bear on his land and Mrs. BGA spotted one just down the road a while back, we've never noticed one on our property. But it sure looks to me as if Pooh might have stopped by in search of some honey.
