The Best Laid Plans . . .

The plan was to run the full list of Dartmouth commitments today, but that will have to wait another day as we sort out addition(s) and a subtraction.

#

Might as well get to the deletion. Opting for Cornell after originally saying he was heading to Hanover is wide receiver Ryan Matulevich, of Sarasota, Fla. His original commitment was reported HERE. There could be more movement, but time will tell.

New to the Dartmouth list is 6-foot-4, 260-pound offensive lineman Yuseph Mustafa of Dearborn High School in Dearborn, Mich. Mustafa was a MHSFCA first-team all-state selection, and was chosen to the all-conference first team and all-region first team. Per his Xwitter, he allowed no sacks and just one pressure last fall. He chose Dartmouth over an offer from Valparaiso among others.

Another prospect who may – or may not – be headed this way is Jason Bish, a 6-4½, 220 tight end from Daniel High School in Clemson, S.C.

Per a WSPA story carried by Yahoo, he's a Dartmouth commit. But the site also lists a teammate as a Dartmouth commit and in fact the teammate signed yesterday with Furman and he does not list a commitment on his Xwitter account. Bish was involved in the Daniel High Signing Day ceremony, while his teammate who is not headed to Dartmouth was shown on the school's social media account signing with Furman. So stay tuned.

Bish, who caught 49 passes for 783 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall, reported on Xwitter way back last May that he had earned his first DI offer from Dartmouth and subsequently fielded offers from Columbia, Davidson and Presbyterian.  (Feel free to share an update via the contact box off to the right if you know more than I do. ;-)

This is kind of fun. The Analyst had a listing of teams that will be looking for their first FCS playoffs bid and included this artwork (LINK):

OK, Harvard is prominent in the photo. But how many football helmets can be recognized from behind like the one on the player being tackled?

Wide receiver Isaac Boston, who graduated from Dartmouth and then played his final season at Central Connecticut, isn't ready to be done playing football:

EXTRA POINT

Mrs. BGA and I braved the cold – and cold it was – to head about an hour into New Hampshire's White Mountains to go to one of the five "Ice Castles" locations in the country.  It was well-worth the price of admission and highly recommended. (LINK)

Here are a few pictures we snapped:

The colored lights were beautiful.

Mr. BGA walks through a tunnel.

That's me in my Michelin Man jacket braving 3 degrees.

The was also a walk through a "magical forest."

Thousands of lights on floor of the forest trail were moving.
