Here's your Saturday roundup:

Yale 41, Merrimack 24
Playing for the first time after the passing of his father, Tony, Yale quarterback Dante Reno threw for four touchdowns and 298 yards to lead his dad's old team. Merrimack ran out to an early 21-7 lead, but the Bulldogs outscored the Warriors, 31-4, the rest of the way. Jaxton Santiago had two touchdowns among his five catches for 100 yards, while teammate Lucius Anderson grabbed seven balls for 116 yards. The dormant Yale (2-1, 0-1) ground game came to life with Hugo Djeumeni Kemeni piercing the Merrimack (2-4) defense for 132 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries. The game drew 4,022 to Yale Bowl.

Princeton 35, Columbia 7
Junior Kai Honda had touchdown runs of 70, 53, 40 and seven yards as he exploded for 219 yards on 14 carries, an average of 15.6 yards to lead the Tigers (2-1, 1-0). Honda's rushing total was five yards more than he had all of last season. Columbia (2-1, 0-1) got 35-of-51 passing for 331 yards from quarterback Chase Goodwin but was kept off the scoreboard after a first-quarter touchdown as the Tigers ran off the game's final 28 points in front of 3,676 in New York City. With Honda becoming just the second FCS player to record 200-plus yards and four touchdowns this fall, two Princeton quarterbacks needed to complete just seven passes in 16 attempts to secure the win.

Harvard 20, Colgate 17
Colgate took a 17-14 lead on a touchdown with 27 seconds left, and Harvard (3-0, 1-0) responded with a dramatic catch-and-pitch Hail Mary to earn the win. Teigan Pelletier caught Charlie Smith's pass from just behind midfield at the six, and while Colgate was trying to pull him down, he pitched the ball to freshman Nathan Bailey, who ran left and dove over the pylon for the winning score. Bailey finished with 16 catches for 197 yards, helping Smith complete 31-of-45 throws for 369 yards and two TDs.

Rhode Island 13, Brown 10
Taking advantage of a fumble recovery at the Rhode Island 13, the Bears (1-2, 0-1) forged a 10-3 lead on a one-yard Qwentin Brown run early in the fourth quarter. Rhode Island (3-3, 1-2) answered right back with an 82-yard march to tie the score at 10. Taking over at the Brown 46 after forcing a punt from the 14 with 32 seconds remaining, the Rams pushed the ball to the Bears' 26 and then kicked the winning 43-yard field goal with 11 seconds left. Brown's Max Malo was credited with 19 tackles and teammate Stefano Montella with 18. The Governor's Cup game drew 5,368 to Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket.

Cornell 35, Georgetown 14
Garrett Bass-Sulpizio completed 20-of-27 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for two touchdowns to lead Cornell (2-1, 1-0) over the Hoyas (0-4, 0-2). Samuel Musungu had two touchdowns among his six catches for 91 yards. The Big Red piled up 493 yards of total offense, and the defense registered five sacks in front of an announced crowd of 2,500 at Georgetown's Cooper Field.

Lehigh 34, Fordham 0
Luke Yoder carried 20 times for 171 yards and one touchdown, and Derek Morgan tossed three scoring passes as Lehigh (6-0, 4-0) won its 23rd consecutive regular-season game. The winners registered three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and six sacks in front of 5,033 in Bethlehem. The Mountain Hawks scored 31 points in the second quarter, including 24 in the final 2:50 before the half, to stun the Rams (1-5, 1-2).
Monmouth 41, Towson 40
The Hawks (4-2, 3-0) avoided a possible overtime against winless Towson when an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty led to a missed extra point after the Tigers (0-6, 0-2) scored a touchdown with 1:41 remaining to pull within one. Monmouth managed two first downs on the subsequent drive to run out the clock in front of 3,894 in West Long Branch. Frankie Weaver completed 18-of-27 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns to lead Monmouth.

EXTRA POINT
While I was shooting a picture of the foliage out our window, Mrs. BGA shared a pic she just took at our friend's lake house just a little north of here. It's a banner "leaf peeping" season around here and sorry, my picture can't compare.
