Former wide receiver Matthan Houser '04, who guided White County (Tennessee) to its first win over Cookeville since 1995, its first eight-win season since 1980 and its first home playoff game ever, has been selected the Titans High School Coach of the Week. He will be honored at the Tennessee Titans' Dec. 29 game against the Houston Texans. Find a story here. Houser was the District 6 Coach of the Year last season in his first year as head coach.White County finished with the top-rated defense in Tennessee Class 5A forpoints allowed and had the school's highest-scoring offense in 32 years.
